LIAM'S JOURNEY

In May of 2006 we lost Matt, Liam's Dad after a courageous battle with a brain tumour, he was 34 years old. In April of 2008 we got the devastating news that 7 year old Liam had an extremely rare form of cancer in his sinus cavity. This blog is where we can update you on Liam's progess with his brave battle. "If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them."

Day 122 – Kapanui School Olympic Day

Filed under: 1 — Rebecca at 7:26 pm on Friday, August 22, 2008

Kapanui School had their Olympics day today.  Out of all the children at the school (over 700 I think) Liam was chosen to be the torch bearer and light the Olympic flame.  His ‘whanau’ group were representing Japan so he is all dressed up in his Japanese outfit as well.  The torch that he carried was actually used in the Seoul Olympics in 1988.  It was a big honour for him to be chosen and he was very excited and of course I was very proud!

It’s really cool! We have a number of videos uploaded to YouTube and it’s pretty easy.

Your link worked, you should put it on your side bar too so that it is easy for people to visit!
