In May of 2006 we lost Matt, Liam's Dad after a courageous battle with a brain tumour, he was 34 years old. In April of 2008 we got the devastating news that 7 year old Liam had an extremely rare form of cancer in his sinus cavity. We have had a very busy weekend.  Jasper and I took all the kids to Cats in Wellington on Friday night, including Liam.  We got the tickets a while ago but weren’t sure if we were going to be able to go, but thought bugger it why not!  We got a few strange looks as […]

Our first day at home went without incident.  Liam is racing around on his crutches, hoping on one foot and generally enjoying being back at home.  His face is still very swollen, and a bit misshapen but that should all settle down in time.  We spent the day unpacking and having another battle with Mr […]

The rest of yesterday passed quietly, Jasper and the girls came in around 5.30 and they started playing cards with Liam.  We popped him in his wheelchair and went down to the patients lounge for the evening where we sat and watched the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.  It was getting quite late by […]

Liam has had a really good day today, he has been busy beating me at a game he was given by his cousin Jack called Mancala.  There is a bit of strategy involved and I’ll put him beating me down to me being preoccupied!  Liam’s friend Keenan came to visit this morning which cheered him […]
